Both sleeves are worked on to the cardigan using the same openworked stitch pattern. Finish with the delicate front border in slipstitch pattern. Crochet pattern for a large oversized comfy cardigan. Thanks to the openworked stitch pattern the cardigan has a very feminine and trendy look. Fully written pattern. (I use US crochet terms). This pattern is great for beginners too. You work with super bulky yarn and a large crochet hook, so this is a quick and rewarding crochet project ! Yarn : super bulky weight yarn, suitable for crochet hook 9 mm. (or combine 2 thread together, for a light and trendy effect : I used 1 aran weight yarn together with a mohair yarn, to create a featherlight cardigan). Liza’s cardi-shrug is a crochet pattern for a basic comfortable cardigan, that will keep you warm and snuggly during every season. Soft, trendy and feminine ! Wear it with a nice dress, or combine it with your favourite pair of jeans. The back part is formed by a stretchy ribbing part, the large shawl-collar can be worn closed or folded double, to create a more open feminine look. You make this cardigan topdown, worked from the top to the bottom, completely seamless and in 1 piece. This assures a great and comfortable fit, and wonderfull shaping. Some refined details make this design an eyecatcher : 3/4 sleeves, and you can add a row of small buttons. There is a chart added with stitch pattern for the edgings.
