Marling into darkness shawl ! A topdown shawl, worked from the centre out. The body of the shawl is worked double stranded, creating a lovely marled effect. If you use 1 solid shade and 1 gradient shade together, you get an extra delicate gradient look. The border is worked single stranded and with smaller hook size. Fully written pattern, in US and UK crochet terms. Charts and schematic included. Crochet pattern for a large asymmetrical triangular shawl worked from the bottom point upwards. You start with the shawl tail in textured stitchwork, followed by a centre section with the same textured stitches along the straight side and more delicate V-sts along the curved side. The shawl finishes with a large textured border. The geometrical aspect is achieved by alternating different methods of increasing. The finished shawl has a wingspan of 160 cm / 63 “. (but the size is easily adjustable). Fully written instructions in English (both UK and US crochet terms) and in Dutch, with multiple crochet charts and a schematic included. Yarn : Katia Silky Lace “merino extrafine-silk” superwash, 50g/260m/284yds, shade 167 : 6 balls. The entire shawl is worked double stranded. Crochet pattern for a large triangular shawl, worked topdown. The body of the shawl is worked in 1 solid colour. The border of the shawl is inspired by knitted yoke jumpers, worked in in bright Scandinavian wool and with a reversible stitch pattern. I am keen on learning new knitting skills, but not all at the same time, to keep the fun going.
I kept hearing the same things from a lot of people, they convinced me to to develop my new knitting patterns.
Reasons to knit : 1 is a small collection of 3 knitting designs, with 1 thing in common : the design starts with just 1 stitch. (so no casting on fuss, we will tackle this skill later).
Maya is the first design in this collection.
Starting with just 1 stitch, you knit and knit and knit (no purling !!!) and while you are having a wonderful time (or watch your favourite series on Netflix) your shawl gets shape and becomes larger.
When it is big enough, you simply bind off.
Want to make your shawl totally rock ? Add the optional crochet edging.
Fully written pattern, in English and Dutch, with a chart for the crochet border.
This design can be knitted on circular needles and on straight needles.

Crochet pattern for a great and trendy ripple blanket. With this pattern you make your own favourite ripple blanket : – by choosing your own preferred measurements – by choosing any yarn weight you like – by choosing any crochet hook size. The blankets you see on the pictures are single-bed-size blankets. The pattern is fully written, and there is a chart added, with the stitch pattern. Yarn : choose your own favourite yarn My blankets are made with : – Rico Creative Cotton – Cascade 220 (I used 14 shades, and used less than 200 m from each colour). Using a rainbow of colours in handdyed sockweight yarn, this design becomes a bright yet harmonious accessory for your home. Fully written pattern, in US and UK terms, and several charts are included. Yarn : Nurturing Fibres Supertwist Sock, handdyed sockweight yarn, 2 mini skein sets. Each mini skein set contains 10 mini skeins in different colours, each set has 300m yarn. You will need 500m of yarn to make the cushion = 2 sets. It is possible to use any yarn (weight) you like ! Crochet pattern for a cute baby girl cardigan pattern in 3 sizes : 0-6 M, 6-12 M and 12-24 M. Topdown and seamless design, without any seaming. Fully written pattern in US crochet terms, with sizing overview and chart for the lace edgings. Yarn : sportweight yarn, suitable for crochet hook 3-4 mm. You will be needing between 250-420m of yarn, depending on the size. I made a sample in SchoppelWolle, Zauberball Stärke 6, shade ‘Durch die Blumme’, and 1 in Malabrigo Silky Merino, shade Teal, and another one in Rico merino dk, shade purple. Waking up and seeing the sunbeams through the curtains. Let’s celebrate the sun with this shawl pattern ! A topdown, oval-shaped shawl, with lots of sunbeams. The comfortable shape prevents the shawl from dropping of your shoulders, you will love wearing it. The last row has delicate sparkled seed beads who reflect beautifully in the daylight. In the beginning few increases are being made, to create a rather long and pointy tail. Afterwards more increases are worked to give the shawl a wide and comfortable shape.
