I am keen on learning new knitting skills, but not all at the same time, to keep the fun going.
I kept hearing the same things from a lot of people, they convinced me to to develop my new knitting patterns.
Reasons to knit : 1 is a small collection of 3 knitting designs, with 1 thing in common : the design starts with just 1 stitch. (so no casting on fuss, we will tackle this skill later).
Maya is the first design in this collection.
Starting with just 1 stitch, you knit and knit and knit (no purling !!!) and while you are having a wonderful time (or watch your favourite series on Netflix) your shawl gets shape and becomes larger.
When it is big enough, you simply bind off.
Want to make your shawl totally rock ? Add the optional crochet edging.
Fully written pattern, in English and Dutch, with a chart for the crochet border.
This design can be knitted on circular needles and on straight needles.

Liza’s cardi-shrug is a crochet pattern for a basic comfortable cardigan, that will keep you warm and snuggly during every season. Soft, trendy and feminine ! Wear it with a nice dress, or combine it with your favourite pair of jeans. The back part is formed by a stretchy ribbing part, the large shawl-collar can be worn closed or folded double, to create a more open feminine look. The pattern is fully written in 3 sizes : S-M , M-L and L-XL. (I use US crochet terms). Yarn : bulky yarn, suitable for crochet hook 7-8 mm. Crochet pattern for a denim look bag. By using a 'denim yarn', like Catania Denim, you obtain a very trendy and beautiful crochet bag. Solid stitchwork, thanks to using the yarn double stranded, refined finishing and lovely details (like using some parts of your favourite old pair of jeans) make this bag a very handy, useful and great accessory ! Crochet pattern for a topdown triangular shawl with a geometric stitch pattern for the body and a lovely shell edging. Alles Sal Reg Kom is South-African for : 'everything will turn out ok, everything will be fine'. Fully written pattern, in English (US terms) and in Dutch. 2 Large charts are added. Crochet pattern for a large and warm shawl worked sideways, starting from the bottom point upwards. By alternating openworked rows and shell rows you achieve a lovely textured look. Coral Reef Shawl is a large asymmetrical triangular shawl worked sideways. 1 Gradient yarn cake (800 m ) is used to work the body of the shawl and the textured border is made using a 2nd yarn cake. Measurements of the finished shawl : wingspan 235 cm / 92,50 in. (straight side : 125 cm / 49,25 in). The shawl body is worked in different sections, from the pointy tail upwards to the wider upper part. The border is full of texture, thanks to the combination of post stiches and popcorns.
