Marling into darkness shawl ! A topdown shawl, worked from the centre out. The body of the shawl is worked double stranded, creating a lovely marled effect. If you use 1 solid shade and 1 gradient shade together, you get an extra delicate gradient look. The border is worked single stranded and with smaller hook size. Fully written pattern, in US and UK crochet terms. Charts and schematic included. The shawl measures : 180cm/67.5in wide and 40cm/16in deep Yarn : Kokon Alpaca Lace, 100 % baby alpaca, 100g = 800 m/875yd. Crochet pattern for a lovely lace shawl worked from the bottom point upwards. Row after row your shawl gets bigger, and you work the side 'shell' edgings at once, so there is no finishing required afterwards. You finish with a beautiful openworked lace border. The size of the shawl is very easy adjustable. Fully written pattern, both in US and in UK crochet terms, with charts included as well. Yarn : Kokon lace garen, 100 % alpaca, 1 skein = 100g = 800m. This shawl is super easy to adjust to your own wishes : you choose whatever yarn you like, and you can choose your own preferred size by simply making more or less pattern row repeats. The stitch pattern is very easy to memorize, therefor making this shawl will be a very joyful and relaxing project. Tramonto Shawl is made with the most beautiful handdyed baby alpaca yarn from ColoriNaturali. I made this triangular shawl during my summer holiday, and worked on it several nights during the sunsets. Tramonto is the Italian word for sunset. The shawl is worked topdown, and has a delicate lacy body section. The border has structured stitch patterns creating a more sturdy look. Measurements of the shawl : 184 cm/72,50 in wingspan and 55 cm/21,50 in deep. The size can be easily adjusted by making more or less pattern repeats (of both body and border section). Crochet pattern for a large shawl worked sideways from tip to tip. Starting at the bottom with a point you go upwards and increase stitches until the desired width of the shawl. Next you work a centre straight part (where you change colours halfway this section). Continue by working downwards and decreasing stitches to finish with a point at the top of the shawl. Worked with 2 contrasting gradient yarns in hdc rows alternated with easy eyelet sections. The shawl measures : 240cm/94.5” long and 45cm/17.75” wide. (after blocking) The size is adjustable. I wanted to make a red shawl for such a long time already. Wearing red makes me feel great, strong and powerful. With a bit of diva-allures and sensuality ! I searched for ‘the right kind of red’ for quite some time. Finding that remarquable shade of ‘divine diva red’ was a goal for me, I just needed the perfect shade ! This handdyed Dutch Wool Diva Sock Twist in came along on my facebook timeline, and I did not hesitate for 1 second and ‘grabbed’ 3 skeins. The result is this Diamond Diva Shawl. Red geometric motifs, joined together, forming the perfect sized triangular shawl. During the joining and the finishing of the shawl, you will notice the delicate sensual movement appearing, giving the strong geometric forms a bit of ‘tender movement’, like they are dancing and finding the perfect rhythm.
