Tramonto Shawl is made with the most beautiful handdyed baby alpaca yarn from ColoriNaturali. I made this triangular shawl during my summer holiday, and worked on it several nights during the sunsets. Tramonto is the Italian word for sunset. The shawl is worked topdown, and has a delicate lacy body section. The border has structured stitch patterns creating a more sturdy look. Crochet pattern for a large shawl worked sideways from tip to tip. Starting at the bottom with a point you go upwards and increase stitches until the desired width of the shawl. Next you work a centre straight part (where you change colours halfway this section). Continue by working downwards and decreasing stitches to finish with a point at the top of the shawl. Worked with 2 contrasting gradient yarns in hdc rows alternated with easy eyelet sections. The shawl measures : 240cm/94.5” long and 45cm/17.75” wide. (after blocking) The size is adjustable.
